Providing a premier setting for the ultimate equestrian challenge

Have a great day out at Skipton Horse Trials

Skipton Horse Trials has built up a reputation as one of the premier grassroots events in the UK as well as the largest equestrian event in Craven and the Yorkshire Dales. So what could be better than getting out into the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and taking in all the thrills and spills of the equestrian equivalent of a triathlon?

A One Day Event (ODE) or Horse Trials sees riders and horses/ponies compete in three phases, each of which requires a very different set of skills. The combination of riding a dressage test, a show jumping round and a cross country course, test each horse & rider combination and their relationship to the full. Here amateurs compete against professionals, men against women, in an exciting equestrian sport where anything can happen. Gates open to the public from 8am.

Please note: The organisers cannot accept any responsibility for damages, loss or theft from any vehicle. Listen for whistles on the cross country course, keep children near & dogs on a short lead.
