Skipton Horse Trials
The Mitsubishi Motors Cup offers ‘amateur’ riders at BE90 & BE100 level the chance to qualify throughout the season and all over Great Britain for Badminton in early May. The setting of Badminton House and the excitement generated by being part of the foremost Three Day Event in the world give these Championships a very special feeling, while riders, owners, family, friends and officials all contribute to a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere – and all the famous event’s tradestands are open for retail therapy!
The British Eventing Under 18 programme comprises a series of regional training and competitive opportunities for riders in the year of the 12th birthday through to those in the year of their 18th birthday. This year the National Final has been brought forward to July, so Skipton 2 will hold qualifying classes at both BE100u18 and BEONu18 levels for the 2017 U18 championships to be held at Frickley Park, West Yorkshire.
This popular competition kindly sponsored by Voltaire Design, is aimed at amateur competitors and is now in it's seventh year. It offers BE100 riders the chance to compete at the prestigious Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials.
The ‘Derby Style’ Competition is a grass-arena-based challenge involving a testing course of 1m-1.05m show jumps and cross country fences with a 1.10m joker fence to finish.
To qualify, riders must gain six Foundation Points across a minimum of two events at BE100 level. ALL UK events hosting BE100 sections will be qualifying venues.
